Betray- to stop being loyal to someone
Decline- to lose power
Crucify- to hang someone on a cross to die
Disciple- a follower of someone
Co-emperor- a person who rules part of an empire while another person rules the other part
Plague- a disease that spreads and kills many people
Pax Romana- the Roman peace that began during the reign of Augustus Caesar
Vaulted- a ceiling that is high, arched, and covers a large space
Civilized- having good government and the things that make life easier
Imperfection- something that makes an object or person less than perfect
Christianity- the religion based on the teaching of Jesus Christ
Gentile- A non-Jew
